McGuinn Collection

Marie and Stan McGuinn were the very well regarded managers of the Kosciusko Chalet from 1954 – 1962. It was a favourite holiday destination, a happy place full of wonderful memories. The same staff returned year after year and it was like an extended family.

In 1962, Perisher Valley was on the way to becoming a substantial resort and Ken Murray needed an experienced hand to manage it. Murray chose Stan McGuinn to take over, probably the most experienced ski resort manager in Australia at the time.

Stan and Marie remained at Perisher until Murray sold to Sir Frank Packer in 1973.
